The Second District Dental Alliance presented two $500 scholarship awards to two deserving dental assisting students, Brenda Simpson and Lakely Patterson. Students interested in receiving this award completed a letter of application telling about themselves and communicating their need for the scholarship. Criteria for selection was based on need and the ability to express this need in writing, as well as grades and attendance. The funds come from dentists in the Second District Dental Society who participate in the Alliance Christmas fundraiser.
