Who Can Participate?
2020 and 2021 Graduates (including September through December graduates)
Cap/Gown Orders
Reserve your cap and gowns by visiting https://tcatknoxville.edu/currentstudents/graduation-supplies-order-form. If you plan to participate in the ceremony and choose to use your own cap and gown, it must be royal blue in color and you should still order a tassel and diploma cover. Remember to complete the reservation form using the name which should appear on the ceremony’s program.
Additional Supplies
A Balfour representative will be available on July 8th from 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm, in Conference Room C, to sell class of 2021 specific paraphernalia (ex. Diploma plaque, cups, t-shirts, etc.)
National Technical/ SkillsUSA
If you are a SkillsUSA medalist or National Technical Honor Society member, you may wear your graduation regalia (cords, medals, stoles, and tassels) during the ceremony. Please go to NTHS’ or SkillsUSA’s website to order supplies (cords, stoles, or tassels) directly.
Cap/Gown Pick Up
Students will be notified of the date to pick up cap and gown orders. A pickup location will be announced at a later date. Your diploma cover will be retained for disbursement during the graduation ceremony.
Parking:
If you choose to park in the Auditorium/Coliseum’s garage, there will be a $10 parking fee. Please inform your family and friends of this fee. Graduation: Report to the Ballroom of the Knoxville Civic Auditorium with your cap, gown and tassel at 4:30 p.m., August 24th. TCAT Knoxville’s staff will be present to direct you to the Ballroom area.
Purses/Cell Phones
There is no secure place to put your purse. Make arrangements for a friend or family member to hold it. If that is not possible, be aware that you will have to carry it under your robe. Cell phones must not be used during the ceremony.
Pictures
A photographer will take graduate photos during the ceremony. Graduates will receive a proof with the buying options after the ceremony
