Diesel Powered Equipment Technology

About

The Diesel Powered Equipment Technology program provides students with the technical instruction and skill development to enable students to enter employment in truck, construction, agricultural equipment, and other related fields as technicians. By working in the fuel injection lab and on actual diesel powered equipment, students are well prepared to enter the workforce after graduation. The Diesel Powered Equipment Technology program is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

General Admissions Requirements

Please complete the general admissions requirement before the application deadline listed above. 

  1. Complete a TCAT Knoxville Application for your desired start term.  
  2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Use our school code 004025.  
  3. Register and attend an orientation session. 
    • ​​Expect an email from our Admissions team around the Preferred Application Deadline of each trimester.
    • Register for an orientation and attend orientation. When a seat is available, you will offered a seat in your program via email. 
    • If you do not receive a seat and become a priority alternate, you must continue attending orientations. Otherwise, you will lose your seat on the waitlist and will need to reapply.  

NOTE: Applications after the Final Deadline will be accepted by our application system, but priority is given to early applicants, as program seats are limited.
