Exciting new opportunities are coming to Allied Health students at Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville and Roane State Community College. 

As of yesterday, Knox County has pledged $500,000 to the Roane State Foundation to support the construction of this new building, which will be located on Sherrill Boulevard in Knoxville TN.

A joint celebration occurred last August when both schools joined together to break ground on the new campus, which will revolutionize workforce training for Allied Health in the region. With over 130,000 square feet, the Knox Regional Health Science Education Center will house many programs, including TCAT Knoxville’s very own Dental Assisting, Phlebotomy, and Surgical Technology. 

With an in-house and immersive simulation center, Allied Health students can gain experience in learning environments similar to the medical environments that they will work in after joining the workforce. This state of the art facility will be located in West Knoxville, with plenty of room for faculty and students to interact, learn, and grow as medical professionals in the field.
