Industrial Electricity

About

The Industrial Electricity is a NCCER program that utilizes classroom instruction and lecture, individualized modules, and hands-on experience to provide the student with the knowledge to be a electrical apprentice or electrical maintenance worker. Graduates of the program will have a strong foundation in the basic principles of electricity, including motor generator principles; meters; testing equipment and instruments; blueprint reading and math; residential wiring; National Electric Code; and industrial wiring/distribution.

General Admissions Requirements

Please complete the general admissions requirement before the application deadline listed above. 

  1. Complete a TCAT Knoxville Application for your desired start term.  
  2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Use our school code 004025.  
  3. Register and attend an orientation session. 
    • ​​Expect an email from our Admissions team around the Preferred Application Deadline of each trimester.
    • Register for an orientation and attend orientation. When a seat is available, you will offered a seat in your program via email. 
    • If you do not receive a seat and become a priority alternate, you must continue attending orientations. Otherwise, you will lose your seat on the waitlist and will need to reapply.  

NOTE: Applications after the Final Deadline will be accepted by our application system, but priority is given to early applicants, as program seats are limited.
