Interested in potentially starting your Allied Health career at TCAT Knoxville?

We have great news about our upcoming HESI Exam schedule for 2026 and 2027! 

Taking and passing the HESI exam is one of the prerequisites for entry into three of our Allied Health programs at TCAT Knoxville: Dental Assisting, Practical Nursing, or Surgical Technology.

In order to make it easier for you to get the exam scores in before the application deadline, we offer a proctored HESI exam at our Knox Regional Health Science Education Center campus located at 9575 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37923 in Room 1114 on a first come, first serve basis. 

Preparing to Take the HESI at TCAT Knoxville

• Bring your photo ID, an accessible email address, and payment for the exam ($50 payment card only - no cash). 
• We recommend testers arrive 1 hour prior to the start of the exam in order to reserve your spot. Seating is limited for each exam. Admission for the exam will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the exam. No one will be permitted to test at that time.
• Report to Student Services at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Knoxville – Knox Regional Health Science Education Center (9575 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37923) to pay the $50 testing fee. 
• Do not bring in outside calculators. 
• If you are in need of accommodations, please contact the Student Services department at TCAT Knoxville at least two weeks before the exam date. Supporting documentation for the requested accommodation is required.

2026 HESI Exam Schedule at TCAT Knoxville

Below is the list of all of the upcoming test dates for the 2026 school year. Each exam will have a cost of $50 and will take approximately 3 hours to complete. 

The times and locations of these tests are subject to change. However, we will do our best to

 update this page with the most current information about our schedule.
