Job Summary:

A Maintenance Technician 2 performs a broad variety of industrial maintenance tasks as part of a maintenance team that ensures Formall's equipment and facilities are in good working order. A Maintenance Technician is involved in preventative maintenance, repair of equipment in case of breakdown, and other assigned projects.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Job Duties:

• Responsible for the daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance for all production equipment
• Performs machine repair, such as belt, bearing, blade and other machine component replacements
• Diagnoses problems, dismantles defective machines and equipment, and installs new or repaired parts, following the specifications set forth in blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
• Troubleshoots problems and repairs electrical and mechanical devices and hydraulic and pnewmatic systems
• Maintains spare parts inventory
• Follows required Safety Regulations and Procedures including lock out tag out
• Ensures timely completion of all daily maintenance documentation

Qualifications:

• Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred or an equivalent combination of education or apprenticeship
• Working knowledge of PLC ladder logic and ability to troubleshoot
• Strong electrical backgroud including troubleshooting equipment controlled by relays up to the current types of controls
• Understanding of and ability to trouble shoot drives, motors, and coils
• Familiar with proper safety procedures for 120 through 480 volt AC systems and 12 and 24 volt DC controls
• General knowledge of OShA regulations as they apply to industrial and facility maintenance
• Able to read blueprints, specificatiosn and schematics
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
