Work Description: Assists the Meters Department Business Office staff by providing administrative support. Duties may include, but are not limited to, using customer information system to create work orders, using adobe software to update PDF forms for secondary water meters, using databases and spreadsheets to track departmental processes, assisting with filing, answering phone calls, and learning and documenting various business processes.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be and maintain full-time student status at an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or graduatelevel
degree or related certification
• Have and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license
• Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must possess basic computer skills
Physical Demands: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to move or relocate files, and/or a negligible amount of force
frequently to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve
walking or standing for brief periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to write reports/summaries/articles requiring minimal review
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
