Position Summary
Facilitate the efficient operation of the campus administrative office, providing support to the Dean, students, faculty, staff and community members. Receive students and guests as they come into the office. Serve as a liaison between various departments at the site campus and other Pellissippi State Community College campuses.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
30% Student Support – Interact professionally with a diverse population. Facilitate student services (registration, advising, financial aid, business office & other, as assigned). Process student admission paperwork in Banner software. Cross-train and cover for other departments, as assigned. Demonstrate excellent customer service. Monitor student workers. Support campus events and activities.
25% Secretarial Support – Serve as office assistant to establish and maintain the daily routine of the campus administrative office. Provide secretarial support for faculty, staff, and students to include maintaining resources (directories, schedules, inventories, reports, leave forms and time sheets, etc.), filing, preparing internal contracts, answering telephones, organizing projects, as needed.
25% Facilities Support – Communicate as necessary with facilities, security personnel, and other departments to assure smooth daily operations. Process room reservations and college calendar entries for meetings and activities through campus calendar software (25Live). Serve as point of contact for facility services and outside vendors.
20% Instructional Support – Coordinate faculty and staff requests and provide assistance, as needed to maintain classroom operation (computer, lighting, web access, projector, etc.). Coordinate distribution and collection of campus surveys.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in an office environment (Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% of full-time experience)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics
Explaining step-by-step what is required to be admitted to college. Organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, experience with word processing, database management, mail merge, requires minimal supervision, excellent problem solving skills. Proficiency in a foreign language (Spanish) would be helpful.
